Tell me of an easier and faster way to get yourself killed than talking shit about religion. All the morally high self righteous bastards suddenly turn into beasts who are willing to destroy a fellow human being, who according to them was created by the very god that they crave to meet someday.
Why is it so captivating and joyous to talk and hurt these balls of morals floating around in their own separate dimension of foolishness. A dimension of glass that cannot be cracked not matter how hard you hit at it.
My thought of writing a blog came after I recently saw a video of a guy convincing kids to buy his toys. In that particular video, a man can be seen trying to convince three kids into buying his weirdly shaped toy that no kid in their right mind would buy. The man laid his case in front of three kids and then asks these kids for their opinion about the toy. Unsurprisingly the answer was “it’s dumb” and “useless”. Then the man goes on to say “if you don’t have this toy people will treat you like a baby, are you one ?”. The children being children with their only aim to be adults blurts out “noo” and slowly start picking up the toy which they considered dumb not two seconds ago. The only one who showed a slight reluctance was this girl (god bless her) but she too gave in. Next comes the funny part, the man asks “what do you think about the people who don’t have a toy?”. Skeptics of two second ago now replies they are weird and babies etc.
Isn’t this exactly how religion works ? The fear of being judged. Either by a higher power or by the people around you, isn’t this the foundation of how religion still continues in age of technological flourish. You are better than the others around you gives men the ego boost that they needed.
